Sigma Haul

Hello everyone! So I’m here today to share my recent haul from Sigma Beauty. I’m so excited to use these products!

Let’s go! 😝

I got the Aura Powder in Sigma Pink, to be honest, just for the packaging. And also because I was thinking that I don’t have a really really bright and bold blush like this in my collection, so I thought, why not? 😁 And seriously though, that packaging is just insanely gorgeous. 😍

Next up, I got a couple of brushes.

Pretty recently, I’ve been experimenting with using different type of brushes for contouring. I’ve always used the flat contour brush type to sculpt my face and I’m kind of not liking it anymore, which is what pushed me to try out different brushes. What I love using so far are angled contour brushes, which is why I got the F40 brush. I do have two, because I got the gold one for free because of the amount I purchased. As for the F05, I can’t wait to see how it works with contouring.

As you can see, I did buy two F35 brushes. I’ve been wanting this brush for ages! I really love highlighting, and this brush is just so perfect for that. And for the F41 Fan brush, I’ve never really used this type of brush for highlighting, so I wanted to see how it would apply the product.

And the F82 Round Kabuki brush, I jut like round dense brushes for applying a specific product, which is my Stila Perfectly Poreless Putty Perfector.

So that’s it for my haul! Till next time! xx

Decluttering: Eye Brushes

Still decluttering my makeup/tools here!

If you guys didn’t know, I’m slowly decluttering my makeup and tools, it’s just something I decided on because I didn’t want the products that I have that I don’t really reach for to go bad. So I’m either selling them or giving them away, mostly I’d be giving away to family and friends. So the first one I worked on was my eyeshadow collection, which I already posted. Still “eye  makeup” related, I wanted to declutter my eye brushes next. I do have a lot, and just like my eyeshadows, I don’t use them very much.

It was very easy for me to figure out which brushes to hold on to and to let go of. The ones I chose to keep are the versatile brushes, and the ones that I love in general.

So below are the brushes that I decided to keep:

To keep it short, I kept the “basic” brushes that one would need to create different eye looks. Even though I don’t experiment much with the eyeshadow makeup like I used to, I still wanted to have the tools that I would need. And like I said, these are the versatile ones that you can use easily.

You will see that I have a lot of Real Techniques and EcoTools, which are my two favourite affordable brands for makeup brushes. The rest are Morphe, Crown Brush, Elf, Terre Mere, Luxie, and Sigma.

And below are the eye brushes that I decluttered:

Kiko Milano Water Eyeshadow

Here I have the Kiko Milano Water Eyeshadow in 208 Light Gold. I bought this online after seeing a lot of YouTubers talk about it and use is as a highlighter. And since I absolutely love golden highlighters, I caved and got it, and a few other things from the Kiko Milano website. I got them for about half the price because they were having a sale at the time, but the original price is $14 USD, it’s still very affordable for such a high end quality product.

So this is what the packaging looks like, it’s kind of chunky for an eyeshadow packaging, but not too bad,  but that’s because of how the main product looks like. It’s suppose to be like water ripples, hence the name “Water Eyeshadow”. I think it looks stunning though.

You get 3g of product, it also comes with a really cute mirror. I don’t use the mirror but it can be handy, especially if you’re going to bring this with you when you go out.

This shade has been compared with other popular highlighters in the market, especially the limited edition ones like the famous Mac Whisper of Gilt, Mac Oh Darling,  Estee Lauder Heat Wave, etc.

Here’s a swatch comparison:

Overall, I think this product is just absolutely amazing. The quality, the price, and how versatile it is. It can be used wet or dry and they have a variety of colours you can choose from. Mind you, the shades in this line are all (either) shimmery or metallic. But you can find matte eyeshadows in their other collections.

Decluttering: Eyeshadows

Hey everyone! So I recently decided on cutting down some of my makeup, specifically my eyeshadows. Although I have gotten rid of some of them a few months back, either selling them or just giving them away to friends, I really wanted to makeup my eyeshadow collection even smaller. My reason is that I really don’t use a lot of the eyeshadows I own, and to be quite honest, I’m not a big eyeshadow person. I prefer the very simple eye look with neutral colours.

So I have here the eyeshadows that I decided to keep.

(From the top left to right:) I have the Tarte Park Avenue Princess bronzer (I use it as an eyeshadow because I thought it was too shimmery to be a bronzer for me.), Trestique eyeshadow crayon in “Venetian Gold”, ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in “Birthday Girl” and “Famous”, Marsk Mineral Eyshadow in “You’re Toast”, NYX eyeshadow in “Underneath It All”, Elf “Mad for Matte’ Palette, Urban Decay single eyeshadows in “Naked”, “Beware”, and “Buck”, Wet N Wild single eyeshadow in “Creme Brûlée”, Dobner Kosmetik in “Glossy Mauve”.

And I didn’t mention the two BareMinerals eyeshadows because I actually decided to get rid of those too.

Believe it or not, I used to own A LOT of the ColourPop eyeshadows, and not just their eyeshadows, but their products in general. I think the main thing that kind of worn me out of their product is the packaging. Now I know that seems so silly, but you do need to keep them tightly closed after you use them, especially the face products, including the eyeshadows. I find myself having a hard time opening them every time I want to use them, and because I use a heavy hand with it because I really do try to grip them hard, I end up breaking the lid, which would cause it to be useless because it will dry out the product anyway. Anyway, that’s why I didn’t keep my ColourPop eyeshadows. I’m not saying that it’s a bad product or anything, far from it actually. It’s just personally, that’s my opinion about their packaging.
