Kiko Milano Water Eyeshadow

Here I have the Kiko Milano Water Eyeshadow in 208 Light Gold. I bought this online after seeing a lot of YouTubers talk about it and use is as a highlighter. And since I absolutely love golden highlighters, I caved and got it, and a few other things from the Kiko Milano website. I got them for about half the price because they were having a sale at the time, but the original price is $14 USD, it’s still very affordable for such a high end quality product.

So this is what the packaging looks like, it’s kind of chunky for an eyeshadow packaging, but not too bad,  but that’s because of how the main product looks like. It’s suppose to be like water ripples, hence the name “Water Eyeshadow”. I think it looks stunning though.

You get 3g of product, it also comes with a really cute mirror. I don’t use the mirror but it can be handy, especially if you’re going to bring this with you when you go out.

This shade has been compared with other popular highlighters in the market, especially the limited edition ones like the famous Mac Whisper of Gilt, Mac Oh Darling,  Estee Lauder Heat Wave, etc.

Here’s a swatch comparison:

Overall, I think this product is just absolutely amazing. The quality, the price, and how versatile it is. It can be used wet or dry and they have a variety of colours you can choose from. Mind you, the shades in this line are all (either) shimmery or metallic. But you can find matte eyeshadows in their other collections.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter

I have here the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in the shade Radiant Lights. ✨✨✨

I got this from Ulta for $6. They have three colours available but I just went with Radiant Lights. I actually wanted to get the other one called Golden Lights, but when I swatched it, it was really chalky and felt dry on my skin which would result for it not to blend very well.

Here’s a swatch of Radiant Lights.

The shade is like a light pink champagne colour, but it looks like it has a hint of lavender on some angles, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. This can be a subtle highlight to give you a really glowing effect without it being too over the top. Of course you can get an intense highlight with it, you just have to build it up, depending on your preference.

Personally, I think I can only pull this off during the winter time when I’m much lighter, seeing as it can be a bit obvious, as in a stark white powder on tan skin. But overall, I give this product a big thumbs up. The formula’s nice, very affordable, and of course, gives you the beautiful glow we all look for in a highlighter. 👍

Birthday Haul (Part 5)

I’m so glad that I finally received these items in the mail, it felt like ages waiting for it. Anyway, I’ll start off with these foundations and concealers that I got.Maybelline’s having a sale where if you buy one you can get another one for half off, so I took advantage of that since I use these products a lot and are definitely some of my favourite products. I got the Fit Me Matte and Poreless in 220 Natural Beige, and the Age Rewind Concealer in the shade Neutralizer.

Next, since (again), it’s already cold at where I live, my hands get extremely dry, so I stocked up on hand creams and body creams.I absolutely love these products from Soap & Glory, especially the Righteous Butter body cream. It feels so amazing when you apply it, that sometimes, I keep applying some on my hands. 😁

And this bit is the one I was talking about in my previous post. The makeup bags that I got from Ulta filled with random beauty products, these are majority of them. So you do get some makeup, perfume, hair products, and skincare.

Birthday Haul (Part 2)

Here’s part 2! 😁
So the most exciting bit for this part are these lip products. 💄💄💄  Ugh, they’re so gorgeous. Starting from the left is a bold red lip tint from De Bruyere. Next to that is a light dusty rose lip gloss shade from Beauty for Real. And the next two are the Nars lip crayons that I got from Sephora for my birthday. Then I have Persistence from Mac, which is now one of my new favourite lipsticks. Again, from Mac is Dark Side, which is a permanent shade by the way, it’s just in a limited edition packaging from their most recent collection. The last three are from The Balm. I got two lipsticks and one liquid lipstick which I absolutely love the colour of. #LipstickAddict

Next I received this some sort of stick type of perfume I guess you can say. I couldn’t really read more about this product because it’s all written in French all over the box.

I’m not exactly sure where you can purchase this, but I’m guessing that they have a website. I think the concept of this product is great though, because it’s extremely travel friendly. It’s VERY lightweight, mess and hassle free.

Lastly for this post, I’m sorry that this is a little boring. I wanted to get a new hoodie because when you look in my closet, all my jackets and hoodies are either black or grey. Which is fine really, because they can go with anything. But I figured I wanted a little pop of colour, especially with my hoodies, seeing that its already getting chilly at where I live.

I didn’t get creative with this shot though. ✌️ Anyway, I made sure that the colour that I picked out is definitely visible, I quite like it, a sort of sea green colour. I love how it’s light but still gives you warmth. It’s perfect for everyday wear. 👍👍👍

Birthday Haul (Part 1)

So here’s part 1 of my massive birthday haul! I’m very excited to share the goodies that I got for my birthday (even though it’s not till the 27th ✌🏼️). 😁 I’m going to limit up to three categories per part to keep it short, I don’t want the posts to be too long. Anyway, let’s get started!

So I received a Lord and Berry eyeliner, as well as an eyeliner from Coastal Scents. They’re both in black, and these are the wooden pencil type of liners. Next I decided to grab another NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Ash Brown. I didn’t have a backup and mine’s almost out so I just wanted to have another one.

Up next I have some nail polishes.  The first one from the left is a Lollipop Paris polish in a bright red colour. I don’t usually wear bright bold colours like that but I thought that it would be perfect for the holidays. Next to that is from Aurora, it’s a dark navy blue colour which I like, because I absolutely love dark, smokey nail polishes. And lastly I have one from Cult. This is probably what I’m most excited for among the three because I’ve never actually tried a grey nail polish before, and I can’t wait to use it! 💅🏼

And the last bit for now are blushes!  I got a couple of blushes from Tarte, these are mostly summery shades. Then I finally got the blush I wanted to try from Makeup Revolution, which is one of their matte ones in the shade Fusion. Next I got a Bellàpierre cream blush, which can also be used as lip stain. And lastly I got two blushes from Essence, which I’m really excited about because this brand is new to me. What’s awesome is that their products are so affordable. I got the shades Autumn Peach and Life’s a Cherry.
So that’s part 1! I will be posting part 2 pretty soon! Cheerio! 😁 xx

Mad for Matte

So here I have elf’s eyeshadow palette in Mad for Matte.  As the name says, all shades are matte, which I love. 😁 I prefer matte eyeshadows in general, and would choose it any day over shimmery eyeshadows. Anyway, this palette has ten shades. What I love about this palette is that it has neutral colours but still has enough variation that you can get creative with it.

So I bought this one online at elf’s website for $10, which is such a steal. This palette has a sleek look to it and is travel friendly because of its size and packaging, and it also has a decent sized mirror. So the (neutral) variety is really great in my opinion. You can go from a simple eye look to a smoky eye using just these shades, which again, is convenient when you’re traveling.

Swatches:  All in all, I like the colours that comes with the palette. They apply smoothly and evenly, and they’re all pigmented with the exception of one. The shade I’m talking about is the very first colour on the far left of the photo (palette) which is that very light peachy-yellowy nude colour. It didn’t even show up when I swatched it, I don’t know if it was because it didn’t have a primer underneath, but still, you should be able to see it properly even without an eyeshadow primer. I was disappointed with that one because I would have loved to use that as a base shadow, and since every other shade swatched beautifully. So that’s a bit of a bummer, but at least it was just one of them, so I still recommend this palette, and again, for that price, it’s such a good deal. 👍🏼

Mini Makeup Haul 😍

So I couldn’t help myself.. 👀😁✌🏼️

I have here a mini makeup haul to share. I’m so excited with these babies and I can’t wait to use them!

Okay, so believe it or not, I’ve never tried any TheBalm products before. I know, I’m sooo late in joining the bandwagon. But I’ve heard lots of YouTubers rave about the Mary Loumanizer highlighter and I’ve always been curious, but I never got it. So when I got the chance, I picked that up, and a few more products that I was interested in, like the Bahama Mama bronzer, the Sexy Mama translucent powder and two (the other lipstick hasn’t arrived yet) lipsticks. And then I got two Illamasqua brushes, a contour brush and a blush brush. These are so incredibly soft! And then I got two of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators in the shade Starlight and So Hollywood. I’m mainly excited about So Hollywood, also, now that I saw it in person, Starlight is looking a little bit too light for me. I mean I don’t want a stark white stripe on my face when I use this, so hopefully I can make it work. Those two were the only shades I was really interested in, I did debate on getting Riviera but I feel like it might be too dark for me. Moving along, last but not the least, I got the limited edition Swirl and Sparkle brush cleanser in Pumpkin Cheesecake which is a new scent added to their store for a limited time. I’ve talked about this cleanser before and how much I love it. Still the best brush cleanser in my opinion.

So that’s all I’ve got for this haul. Till next time! Cheerio! xx

My Happy Place

Again, wanted to share this shot.

This is my vanity. Although it wasn’t what I had in mind at first as to how I want my vanity to be, I ended up loving these pieces so much. The mirror is vintage which made me love it even more because of how unique and beautiful it looks to me. That’s why you’ll notice that the actual table and the mirror are two different shades of brown. I don’t mind it though. Who knows, maybe I’ll paint them both in the future. But for now, I absolutely love my vanity. I love having majority of my makeup brushes on display. There’s just something about seeing them like that, looking beautiful and all that makes me really happy. 😍 xx

Becca Radiant Glow

I have here the Becca Radiant Glow Collection.

The set includes a mini Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone, an undereye concealer, a liquid highlighter in Opal, and the Beach Tint Lip Shimmer in Raspberry/Opal.

I got this set from Ulta for $32, which for me is still a little pricey but not too bad nonetheless. I think it’s great if you want to try out some of these products without committing to buying the full size product. I also want to point out that you do get a good amount of the liquid and pressed highlighter, since you don’t need to use much because they are pigmented and will definitely last you a while.

Kiko Milano

That packaging. 😱😍

When I saw this collection I immediately fell in love, of course, because of the packaging. I absolutely love the rose gold packaging! I decided to pick up three blushes, I got the shades Velvet Peach, Adorable Pink, and Treasure Rose. The main reason I got it is because I was very curious about the formula of this blush. I think it might be like the Maybelline bouncy blushes? Maybe? I haven’t swatched or used them because I wasn’t planning on using them just yet. I know, I know, why did I get these then? Well, I have too many blushes that are in use at the moment so I didn’t want to add more to it because I feel like I won’t be able to use up every single one, which I plan on doing. I just wanted to get them right away because this is a limited edition collection, so that’s my reason. ✌🏼️

I was also trying to compare these colours to some ColourPop blushes that I already own.

Velvet Peach is a very unique shade for me. I don’t have something in my collection quite like it. But the closest colour I could find that’s similar is Between the Sheets (by ColourPop). Velvet Peach is just more nude compared to Between the Sheets which has more pink in it.

Adorable Pink is almost the exact same colour as Never Been Kissed.

And Treasure Rose is very similar to Cruel intentions.
