Kiko Milano Water Eyeshadow

Here I have the Kiko Milano Water Eyeshadow in 208 Light Gold. I bought this online after seeing a lot of YouTubers talk about it and use is as a highlighter. And since I absolutely love golden highlighters, I caved and got it, and a few other things from the Kiko Milano website. I got them for about half the price because they were having a sale at the time, but the original price is $14 USD, it’s still very affordable for such a high end quality product.

So this is what the packaging looks like, it’s kind of chunky for an eyeshadow packaging, but not too bad,  but that’s because of how the main product looks like. It’s suppose to be like water ripples, hence the name “Water Eyeshadow”. I think it looks stunning though.

You get 3g of product, it also comes with a really cute mirror. I don’t use the mirror but it can be handy, especially if you’re going to bring this with you when you go out.

This shade has been compared with other popular highlighters in the market, especially the limited edition ones like the famous Mac Whisper of Gilt, Mac Oh Darling,  Estee Lauder Heat Wave, etc.

Here’s a swatch comparison:

Overall, I think this product is just absolutely amazing. The quality, the price, and how versatile it is. It can be used wet or dry and they have a variety of colours you can choose from. Mind you, the shades in this line are all (either) shimmery or metallic. But you can find matte eyeshadows in their other collections.

Soap & Glory

I recently got into Soap & Glory products, which I’ve been wanting to try for a while now. The first one I tried from them is the Hand Food hand lotion. I was on the lookout for a new hand cream because my hands are just terrible during the winter, they get extremely dry and cracked, and just annoying because I get cuts from it. Anyway..

I have here my winter buddies! So here are the Righteous Butter cream and the Flake Away scrub, I’ve seen good reviews about both of these products and I do approve. 👍🏼

I absolutely love the Righteous Butter cream, I actually prefer this over the Hand Food which I first thought would be the other way around. It feels really nice when you’re applying it and it doesn’t take long for it to sink in your skin which I love, because nobody wants that greasy feeling to stay on for ages. I use this as an all over body moisturizer, but like I mentioned, I especially love this for my hands.

Then I have the Flake Away body scrub. This works well with getting rid of the dead skin cells, leaving your skin smooth. It’s abrasive enough to get the job done without leaving a stinging feeling.

I love how they both work together. They have a lovely floral scent which isn’t overpowering so that’s always a plus. I’m telling you, when you try the Righteous Butter, you won’t be able to stop applying it. 😁👍

#1: Most Recent Makeup Haul

So to start this makeup photo challenge that I’ve been wanting to do, here is day one, which is the “Most Recent Makeup Haul”. I know that this photo isn’t my best, but it’ll work. Sorry! ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼 Also, I’ll include mini reviews on some products mentioned/shown. 😁

Anyway, from left to right:

I have the MAC Royally Riotous (Amplified) from the Veluxe à Trois collection. It’s a dark brown nude, it’s almost like Whirl or Creme in Your Coffee.

Next I have the Sephora Look smart travel eye brush set. They’re magnetic so you can literally just attach the different eye brushes that comes with it on the handle. I think it’ll be handy.

I got the NYX brow gel in Brunette. I’ve been wanting to try something like this for a while now and I just have to say that I will definitely repurchase this product. 👍🏼

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. I’ve been getting travel sizes of these because they have a few you can choose from. I just finished my bottle of the Deslick one, and next on my list after I finish this is the Chill one.

Next I have a Nars shadow primer, I also got the face primer with SPF, and a mini blush in Orgasm.

The Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder, I’m so excited for this! I’ve heard a lot of great reviews for this one and I can’t wait to use it! Will definitely do a review on this. 😁

Next I have the Too Faced Born This Way foundation. I have a review for this one on my blog so you guys can see a more in depth review on that. But yeah, I got mine in the shade Naturally Beige.

The Stila Perfectly Poreless Putty Perfector, another one that I was really excited to get. I decided to get this one after I watched Dani (coffeebreakwithdani) talk about this product in one of her videos. I just received and tried it on today and oh my gosh, it’s like magic! I was completely blown away by this product. Again, There will be an in depth review on this sorcery. 😋

I have here two of the Becca Champagne Pop, the shade created by Jaclyn Hill. I originally had the intention of buying one, but it was so damn beautiful that I had to get backups. So yes, it might be too much, but I got two more for backups, I panicked a little because this is a limited edition product. I wish they would make it a permanent one because I really do love this highlighter. ✨

And last, but not the least. I talked about this product on a review before, this is the Swirl & Sparkle brush cleanser sample quad. Marii, the owner of S&S recently added four new scents, and I just had to get my hands on these. The four new ones are Birds of Paradise, Toffee Crunch, Orange Dream, and Java Mama. They smell so delicious that you’d want to eat it. 😝

Born This Way

So I caved and got this.. 😁 I’ve read/heard some pretty good reviews about this product, especially from YouTubers. So I tried it as soon as I got it earlier today in the mail. I first applied it with a beauty blender, and not gonna lie, I didn’t like how it applied with it, which is usually not the case because I ALWAYS use a makeup sponge to apply my foundation. It looked a little patchy when I first applied it, it even emphasized some dry patches on my face, which is my nightmare when it comes to applying foundations. So I was a little sad and disappointed. But I decided to try again a few hours later, I refused to give up on this product, seeing as a lot of people raved about it, and the fact that, c’mon, it’s a $39 foundation. So this time, I exfoliated my face and tried applying it with a brush. I used my Sigma F82 round kabuki brush, it went a little streaky at first, but I tried kinda “stippling” the product onto my skin and it surprisingly applied better than the first try. It gave me medium coverage, but you can always build it up, depending on your preference. I just don’t like having too much foundation on. I have to say though, this foundation feels so light! That’s something that I love about it, it’s as if you weren’t wearing anything on your face. I also have to mention how perfect the shade is, I got Natural Beige and it is literally the perfect shade for my skin tone, which I usually have trouble with when choosing a foundation. They have a wide selection for every skin tone, and I highly recommend that you guys check it out. It’s a bit pricey, yes, but I think it’s worth it. 😉 xx
